Prof Dr Gerhard Fischer, UC-Boulder Visited us @UTN

How do you turn "I have to learn" into "I want to learn"? Among other things, this was the topic of Gerhard Fischer's presentation "The Challenge for the Digital Age: Making Learning a Part of Life" He is em. Professor at University of Colorado at Boulder. Using research results, he showed the importance to view learners as active agents (producers or pro-sumers) and not as consumers.
And even though new technologies have a major impact on us as a society: How it plays out is ultimately for us to determine. The founder of the Center for Lifelong Learning and Design also emphasized this in his closing words: "The future is not out there to be discovered - but to be designed or invented. But by whom? By them? (politicians, ...) By us? By UTN!
